The Final

Exam time&location. The exam will be from 2:45pm to 4:45pm on Monday december 16, 2013. We have two classrooms for the final exam.
  • If your TA is either Hans Chaumont, Rohit Nagpal, or Chad Weibel, go to Ingraham 19
  • If your TA is either Lakshmi Priya, Guru Subramani, or Peter Mueller, go to Sterling 1310
To prepare for the exam look at

  • these Review Problems
  • Attend the Review sessions: there will be two review sessions on Saturday afternoon:
    • 3:30pm-5pm Hans Chaumont in B10 Ingraham hall
    • 4:30pm-6pm Rohit Nagpal in room B130 Van Vleck

Midterm 2

Answers and/or solutions to:

Time: Wednesday evening, November 13th, 7:15pm–8:45pm.

Location: The exam will be held in B102 and B130 in Van Vleck Hall. Depending on your discussion section you should go to one or the other.

  • Students from Chad Weibel, Rohit Nagpal, or Peter Mueller's section should go to B130
  • Students from Hans Chaumont, Guru Subramani, or Lakshmi Priya's section should go to B102.

Midterm 1

Wednesday evening, October 9th, 7:15pm–8:45pm.

Topics covered: The exam covers Chapters 1, 2, 3, and §1—§6 from Chapter 4. Here is a more detailed list of topics and sample problems for practice..

The scores:

How does this work? You do not get a letter grade until the end of the semester. You do get the number of points that you scored on the exam. The letter grades in the above figure are an estimate of how that score would translate into a letter grade if your were to get one now. Freshmen will actually get a six-week letter grade.
