The final exam will cover
- the material on eigenvalues & eigenvectors of matrices
- their use in solving linear systems of differential equations
- solving inhomogeneous systems of equations
- Finding particular solutions by “guessing”
- Finding particular solutions by Variation of Constants,
recognizing the convolution form of the solution.
Here is the most recent version of the
practice test, with solutions. [Last updated on Saturday 16:18pm]
And this is the pdf file about
inhomogeneous linear equations, including last week's homework problems,
with solutions.
About the 1st midterm
The first midterm will cover all homework problems assigned from
§3.1—3.6. Click here
to find some solutions to the conceptual problems in the homework.
Answers to the other problems are in the back of the book.
About the 2nd midterm
The topics to be covered on the second midterm are listed on
this sheet [pdf].
