About Me
My name is Peter YI WEI (Chinese: 韋禕). Currently I am a sixth year PhD student in the Department of Mathematics, University of Wisconsin-Madison, advised by Michael Kemeny.
In summer 2019, I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences supervised by Baohua Fu.
I am on the job market for postdoctoral position this fall. Here is my research statement .
I work on algebraic geometry and arithmetic geometry. More specifically, I'm interested in the following:
- Geometry of syzygies of algebraic varieties
- Brill-Noether theory of curves
- Moduli theory of curves and surfaces
