Piazza:
This semester we will be using Piazza as a forum for
communication; all class-related discussion will be conducted there so that
you can enjoy the collective knowledge of your classmates and instructors.
I encourage you to ask questions when you are struggling to understand
concepts - you can even do so anonymously.
GRADE AND EXAMS: Your course grade will be based on homework (20%), two in-class midterms (20% each), and a final exam (40%).
No letter grades will be assigned before the end of the semester.
The midterm exams are scheduled on October 16 and November 20. The final exam is scheduled on Fri, 12/19/2014, 2:45PM - 4:45 PM.
Use of calculators will not be allowed for exams. You must bring a valid UW Photo ID to all exams.
If you are eligible for special consideration on exams, please let me know as soon as possible, so that I can ensure that your needs are accommodated.
