On Singularities and Related Fields

GENERAL INFORMATION:

This one-day workshop is dedicated to the memory of Mihai Tibăr, a distinguished mathematician who made significant contributions to Singularity Theory and maintained close scientific ties over many years with the Faculty of Mathematics at Ovidius University of Constanța. The meeting brings together colleagues, collaborators, and researchers working on singularities and related areas.

The workshop is organized by "Grigore Moisil" Romanian-Turkish Joint Laboratory of Mathematical Research of Ovidius University of Constanța, in collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA).

This is satellite meeting of the conference Geometry and Topology of Singularities, held at the Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy, in Bucharest, Romania, during May 25-29, 2026.

LOCATION:

The workshop will take place on June 1, 2026, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Ovidius University of Constanța (Room AB1, Ground Floor), in Constanța, Romania.
