I am a second year graduate student at University of Wisconsin, Madison interested in geometric group theory. I am primarily interested in using Teichmuller theory to explore subgroups of the mapping class group, although I have recently also dabbled with quasi-isometric rigidity.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from UC Berkeley, wrapping up 18 years of pure, organic California public school education. During my last two years at Berkeley, I did an REU on geometric group theory with Dan Margalit and Balazs Strenner and wrote a thesis (you can read it here) with Ian Agol and Carolyn Abbott. You can see my full CV here.
You can reach me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or in person at Van Vleck 101.
