Xiao Shen

I am a fifth year graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I am on the job market this year (graduating in May 2021). Here is my CV.

My advisor is Timo Seppäläinen .
My research interest is probability theory, and I have been working on corner growth model (exponential last-passage percolation) and first-passage percolation.

Papers and preprints:

M. Damron, J. Gold, W. Lam, X. Shen. The structure of holes in B(t) in first-passage percolation. In progress.
C. Janjigian, W. Lam, X. Shen. Tail bounds for the averaged empirical distribution on a geodesic in first-passage percolation. Preprint, 2020. arXiv:2010.08072
T. Seppäläinen, X. Shen. Coalescence estimates for the corner growth model with exponential weights. Electron. J. Probab. 25: page 85-116, 2020.

I organize the SIAM Chapter seminar at UW-Madison, if you would like to give a talk (normally on Wednesday afternoon), send me an email.
