Fall 2020: Elementary Topology

Topics: Basic notions in topology such as metric spaces, topological spaces, basis, continuity, connectedness, compactness, product and quotient topologies.
Textbook: James Munkres, Topology (2nd edition)
Grade: Homework: 60%, Midterm: 10%, Final Exam: 30%.
Both midterm and final exams will be take home exams. The Midterm was assigned on Oct 20, and due on Oct 27.
Homeworks will be assigned regularly and will be the main source of problems appearing in the exams.
