Title: The Ergodic Waring-Goldbach Problem Abstract: Techniques for proving bounds for discrete versions of continuous operators are not only oftentimes highly different than their continuous counterparts, involving the intersection of number theory and harmonic analysis, but sometimes the bounds themselves are different! We will discuss the discrete spherical maximal function along the primes and how this is useful in determining distributions of prime points on surfaces. The talk will be accessible to number theorists, analysts and beginning graduate students. This is joint work with Brian Cook, Kevin Hughes, and Angel Kumchev. ลง
