Gain on Move-out: committee was vocal on this being dropped from future Operating budgets. Mary Ann stated that the above might be dropped from future budgets as senior communities are no longer charging this type fee. 1. Interest of $11,000 in the Operating expenses is the interest from previous year?s advancement from Attic Angel Association to enable Prairie Point to pay current bills before monthly fees are fully collected. The accumulation of past years totals about $400,00. In answer to questions about the actual components of the $400,000, Dave promised to research this and get back to the committee. 1. In response to questions about salaries in the up coming budget, Mary Ann explained how they have a formula to arrive at their decisions on salaries. The committee feels they should give careful consideration to the current economic conditions, and its effects on the residents. 1. Legal fees: legal fees included in the Operating budget are those incurred in connection with Prairie Point operation. The committee expects to ask for an itemization of the amount chargeable to Prairie Point Operating budget. A question arose as to why we pay these fees and not Attic Angel Association. 1. A question about ?Purchased Services? under ?Administration? in the budget reveals that this includes service such as contracts on office machines. 6. The committee expressed a hope that it will be possible to keep the monthly fee stable. 1. See III above. 8. Going to a three year contract with the Bruce Company will lower fees for two years in exchange for a reasonable increase in year three. 9. Currently there is no charge to change storm doors when another service is being done. If you call for a storm door only, then you are charged .Bob Dott suggested we make a list of services we feel should be included without extra charges. r Meeting was adjourned. 3
